dawn at Mather Point, Grand Canyon
A monumental piece, this time five panels, documenting an experience of dawn on the rim
of the Grand Canyon at Mather Point. Painted over five months early in the COVID pandemic,
when the absence of students provided an unlimited open space in which to focus on the great sense of emptiness
and loss triggered by the virus and the murder of George Floyd.
Original painting (5 panels, each 24” x 36”) of dawn at Mather Point, Grand Canyon is available, framed in weathered oak.
